Tim Keller
Tim Keller
grew up in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, where he attended Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and the Westminster Theological Seminary. Dr. Keller came to faith during his university years through the ministry of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. His ministry experience began by serving with Inter-Varsity for three years, and then serving as pastor for nine years in Virginia. During that time, Dr. Keller also served as director of church planting for the PCA in the Mid-Atlantic region, supervising the development of two dozen new congregations. In the mid-1980’s, Keller served on the faculty of Westminster Seminary and wrote two books: Resources for Deacons and Ministries of Mercy: The Call of the Jericho Road. In 1989, the Kellers moved to New York City to plant what is now Redeemer Presbyterian Church, which reaches Manhattan professionals from many diverse occupations and cultural backgrounds. Tim and his wife, Kathy, have three sons and live on Roosevelt Island in New York.
